Rainy Jasper wedding
I am not sure Laini and Steven dreamt of a wedding day with rain through the whole ceremony but my feelings are not hurt that that is what they got! The colours of this fall day could not have been more perfect, and thanks to the rain everything was clean and vibrant. This meant Laini's dress was not so clean...maybe a small price to pay for beautiful scenery. Friends and family gathered at Pyramid Lake, in Jasper National Park, no one seemed to care about the drizzle they were just happy to be together celebrating.

Following the ceremony we did family formals, then we took a quick walk around the island for some fun bridal party photos, and then jumped right into bridal portraits. I love giving couples some space to have a few quiet moments alone to enjoy each other and delight in the fact that they just got married!! While they have a moment alone I like to get some images of them in the landscape, especially when they choose such an amazing wedding location.

Laini really expressed to me the importance of candid moments of their guests when we discussed what she wanted from her wedding photos. I don't want to share too many of those moments but I will give you a small taste of some of the fun images. Honestly, images like these are often some of my favourite images from almost every wedding.

Laini & Steven choose not to have a photographer at the reception but I could not help but sneak into The Pyramid Lake Resort for a couple of detailed shots on my way to my vehicle.

The rain, the mud on the dress, and the groom's broken shoe were all taken in stride by everyone involved in this lovely wedding.
Congratulations Laini and Steven I hope your marriage is as full of laughter as your wedding was.
